Holiday Celebrations
Halloween
Annual Halloween Parade – This is a favorite photo op for our parents! They follow the students as they parade through the classrooms.
Halloween Parties – All students participate in games, food, and fun!
Halloween Dance – Middle School students enjoy the first dance of the new school year complete with costumes, decorations, lights, and their favorite DJ from All That Productions.
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving Tasting Parties – This is an opportunity for JRA families to show off their favorite recipes. All classes have their own special tasting parties. Some classes complete the event with pilgrim or native American costumes, stories, or movies.
Christmas & Hanukkah
Holiday Babysitting – Parents have the opportunity to go shopping (or out for dinner) while JRA staff members babysit all of our JRA students and siblings from 5 PM to 9 PM. This is our holiday gift to our parents!
Holiday Performances Around The Community – Students perform holiday shows at Publix, retirement centers, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, club meetings, mobile home parks, and holiday events.
Holiday Parties and Gift Exchanges – Students have parties and gift exchanges on the last school day before winter break.
Holiday Crafts, Gifts, and Activities – Students spend the month of December in art class making holiday ornaments, crafts, gifts, and drawings. Whole gingerbread cities are designed and displayed for the enjoyment of all.
