Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year. My name is Meg Curulla and I will be your child's teacher. I have been teaching at Julie Rohr for 16 years. When I first started, I taught in the Nursery for a few months and then moved to Transitional Kindergarten where I have stayed until this year. I truly enjoyed working with Kindergarten aged children and am now looking forward to moving back to building one.
I have 2 beautiful children. Jack is six years old and is going into first grade. He is all boy. He loves skateboarding, swimming, building with legos, (we just put together a 10139 piece Star Wars ship this summer), and camping with Dad. These are just a few of his favorite activities. Our daughter Katie just turned one in July. She is definitely a "Mommies girl." She loves her brother Jack, too. She follows him everywhere and wants whatever he has. Her face lights up when he's around. I think he's starting to enjoy her, too. The other day he informed me that he no longer wants to sell her at our next tag sale. Thank goodness for that. I was very blessed to be able to stay home with Katie this past year. It was so wonderful watching her grow and flourish in so many ways. I look forward to the day she can be with me at Julie Rohr. My wonderful husband, Jim, is a Detective with the Bradenton Police Department.
I want to thank you in advance for trusting me with your children each day. I will work hard to create a classroom in which students feel accepted and valued as learners in an engaging, risk-free environment. I look forward to meeting everyone. See you soon.
Sincerely,
Meg Curulla
