Dear Parents,
Hola y Bienvenidos!
My name is Nicole Fallon. The students call me Senorita Nicole or Ms. Nicole. I am happy to be here at JRA for my fourth year as the Spanish teacher for grades K-8. I'm looking forward to teaching your children all about the language, culture, and geography of our neighbors to the south.
My family and I are longtime residents of Sarasota. I attended Brookside Middle School and I graduated from the Booker High School Visual and Performing Arts program where I studied classical voice. I went on to attend Flagler College in St. Augustine and received my BA in Spanish and Drama. During that time I spent six months studying at the University of Costa Rica as a part of my foreign language program. More recently I have attended the University of South Florida where I was working towards a Master's degree in Elementary Education.
I have one son, Dorian who will be in 4th grade this year. I also am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first nephew later this fall! In my spare time I like to do any type of puzzle or word game, listen to music, spend time with friends and family, and read.
When it comes to my teaching philosophy, I think it is important to be open and patient. It is not easy to learn a new language and I expect students to make a lot of mistakes before they get it right. I try to keep the atmosphere stress-free and let students work at their own pace as much as possible.
If you would like to come and say hello or discuss anything with me, the door is always open. Feel free to visit me at school from 7:30-8:00am or 3:00-4:00pm or email me at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
Hasta Luego!
Srta. Nicole
