JRA: Pre-School: Jeannette McKinney

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year. My name is Jeannette McKinney.  I have been with Julie Rohr Academy for twenty-nine years.

I have been married for forty-nine years and have two grown sons.  Thomas lives in Sarasota with two of his three children.  His oldest daughter lives, works and goes to school in Colorado.  Joseph is married and lives in Sarasota with his wife, son, Aden, and two pug dogs, Daisy and Earl.  His son is starting First Grade this year.

I love to travel and shop.  Working with children, watching them grow and learn, and being able to be a little part of that makes teaching worthwhile.

I open the school at 6:30 AM every morning.  I teach learning games developed by JRA teachers and myself to PreK and TK/Kindergarten.  The purpose of the games is to teach your child to think and to give them a chance to work out problems using their imaginations while having fun learning.

So again, welcome to Julie Rohr Academy.  We are here for you and your child.
