Dear Parents and Teachers,
My name is Rebecca O’Keefe and I am this year's JRA PTO President. This is my 5th year on the PTO Board, but my first as President. I hope to continue moving the PTO in a direction in which we are able to support the school during these tough economic times and yet still continue to be there for the needs of our teachers and students.
I have two children, who attend JRA. Breanna is in 3rd grade this year and is my little performer and Patrick (also known as Patch) is in 1st grade. Patrick is a total sports boy, thus the nickname of Patch….“patch him up and put him back in the game”.
Over the years our PTO has managed to accomplish so much to help improve the school, the needs of the teachers and the children. This was possible because parents and teachers have become more actively involved in our PTO. The stronger involvement we have, the stronger our school becomes.
I would like to invite all parents and teachers to join us for this year's PTO meetings. At JRA we are a family. And with all successful families, the key to success is to get together frequently, discuss what needs to be done, find solutions to conflicts and just spend time together getting to know one another better. I hope to get to know each of you this school year. Won’t you come and be a part of something that will help your child(ren) success at school?
The PTO holds meetings only once a month. During this time a variety of topics and concerns related to helping our school be the best it can be will be discussed. With the exception of the very first meeting, which starts at 5:30, all meetings will start at 6:00 pm and end promptly at 7:15.
All parents and teachers are automatically part of the PTO. I work a full time job as a Firm Administrator for a Law Firm that has Statewide offices. I know how tough it is to make time for one more thing. All I ask is that you try to attend if at all possible. Your support and help is greatly needed.
If you would like to be involved in one of our fundraisers or if you have any concerns and cannot attend a meeting, please feel free to contact me at 807-5404 or e-mail me at
